Pātaka Whenua was released in late 2023 by the Māori Land Court as a replacement for its previous system. Pātaka Whenua allows users to make applications directly to the Court, as well as carry out contemporary and historical research, from the comfort of their own home. Do you want to make an application to succeed your mum, or do you wonder how she got shares in a particular block? Come to our Bring Your Own Device workshop to learn the skills that will help you get those answers from Pātaka Whenua.

Attendees must bring their own device, preferably a laptop, and should have at least an intermediate understanding of how to use their device, and how to access and use the internet. Attendees should make sure that their device is completely charged, and that they are able to access the internet at the library.
